The Fisherman Bay Infrastructure Redevelopment is a landmark initiative aimed at transforming one of South Australia’s most iconic coastal communities. This project focuses on upgrading essential infrastructure to support the transition of over 400 residential properties from leasehold to freehold titles, thereby providing residents with secure land tenure and enabling future development opportunities.

Location: Fisherman Bay, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia

Key Deliverables

– Boat Ramp Enhancement: Reconstruction and elevation of the existing boat ramp to accommodate increased usage and enhance marine access

Coastal Protection: Construction of 1.4 km of new seawalls, including earth levees, rock-lined revetments, and precast concrete walls to safeguard the shoreline .

Stormwater Management: Installation of a comprehensive stormwater drainage network featuring roadside swales, detention and retention basins, and over 4 km of concrete piping.

Wastewater Infrastructure: Development of a vacuum and gravity sewer network with property connections at each allotment, complemented by a vacuum pump station linking to the upgraded Port Broughton Community Wastewater Management System (CWMS) .

Roadworks: Construction and resurfacing of roads to improve accessibility and safety within the township.
