Delivering a Landmark Retail Destination in Brisbane’s South

The Harvey Norman Macgregor Homemaker Centre is a premier retail development situated 12km south of Brisbane’s CBD. This state-of-the-art facility encompasses over 23,000 square meters of retail space, featuring anchor tenants Harvey Norman and Domayne, alongside a curated mix of national retailers such as Spotlight, Adairs, Kitchen Warehouse, and Bed Bath N’ Table. The centre also includes a café and ample parking with 546 spaces, enhancing the shopping experience for visitors.

Designed by Leffler Simes Architects, the centre showcases a contemporary aesthetic with a striking glass façade and Okalux expanded copper inserts, creating a beacon along Kessels Road. Sustainability was a key focus, with features including a 300kW solar array, rainwater harvesting systems for landscape irrigation and amenities, and energy-efficient lighting solutions.

The centre officially opened in September 2024, marked by a grand opening weekend featuring community events, retailer activations, and appearances by notable personalities, underscoring its significance as a retail hub in the region.

Norman Global Projects served as the client-side project manager for the Harvey Norman Macgregor Homemaker Centre.Our responsibilities encompassed strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with contractors to ensure the project’s alignment with community needs and regulatory frameworks. We are committed to delivering infrastructure that not only meets but exceeds expectations in terms of sustainability, accessibility, and operational excellence.
